As someone working in Interior Design Dubai projects, I
increasingly prefer finishes like microcement, decorative
plaster and seamless mineral coatings for both residential and
commercial spaces. These materials allow flexibility in design
while also solving many practical problems common in UAE
renovations.
What matters to me most is not only how a space looks in
photographs, but
how it feels to live in every day.
Why Climate Matters in Interior Design UAE
Many clients focus first on furniture, lighting or decorative
details, but the foundation of any successful project is the
surface material selection.
In Dubai's climate, surfaces are constantly exposed to
temperature fluctuations from powerful AC systems, moisture in
bathrooms and kitchens, and strong sunlight. Traditional
materials often require extensive demolition, thick construction
layers and long installation timelines.
That becomes especially complicated in Dubai apartments and
villas because renovation approvals can take time and often
involve strict building regulations. In many residential
communities, demolition work requires permissions, contractor
approvals, security deposits and limited working hours.
This is one of the reasons I often recommend seamless finishing
systems. For many Interior Design UAE projects, microcement and
decorative coatings can be applied directly over existing tiles,
walls or surfaces without full demolition.
The project becomes cleaner, faster, quieter and significantly
less stressful. Clients avoid unnecessary debris, extended
timelines and additional approval complications.
